Durham back for Meralco on unfinished PBA business

Meralco's Allen Durnham drives as Justin Brownlee of Ginebra defends in Game One of the 2016 PBA Governors Cup finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

MANILA, Philippines – It’s that time of the year where PBA teams prepare for the season-ending Governors’ Cup.

For the Meralco Bolts, it’s revisiting a ghost of the past and hoping to banish them into the light of a new and bright day. During last season’s tourney, the Bolts fell to Barangay Ginebra in the final play of Game Six. The Bolts had their chances to win, then to send the series to a seventh and final match. However, it wasn’t meant to be.

The final play of that game, where Justin Brownlee launched a three from far out, well, Bolts’ “balik-import” Allen Durham still sees it from time to time (as does his teammates).

“I still have memories of that,” said the 6-foot-6 Durham, who arrived last week after a stint in Uruguay. “I still see it. I feel that we left some stuff on the court. We let get away some games that we should have won. I think if we can make some corrections then we can get back to where we want to be this conference.”

Durham played for Malvin Montevido, whom he guided to the semi-finals where his team lost to Hebraica Macabi, 3-1. While over at the Liga Capital, Durham averaged 22.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists in guiding Malvin to a 20-14 record.

“Being in South America for a few months was nice,” related Durham. “Basketball was different but it’s not bad. And the country was beautiful. Oh, yeah, they love their football up there. It was a great experience.”

Having played in the United States then France, the Philippines and Uruguay in the last year and a half, the Michigan native talked about how all his collective experiences have molded him to be a better person.

“When you go to another country, you have teammates who have been there before and they know how things happen. So you try to come in and fit in and be a good teammate. Whatever the team needs I try to fill it up. Overall it’s being a good teammate,” Durham continued.

Coming back to Manila for a second go-around with Meralco motivates the American.

“It definitely motivates me. If you’re not motivated how the last conference ended then something’s wrong with you,” he chuckled. “I definitely take care of my body in the offseason but I am ready to go. And hopefully, we can get right back to where we want.”

10 Top Sexiest League of Legends Skins

One of the largest games in the world, League of Legends is no stranger to well-done character creation and character appearance. As a Free To Play game, though, Riot Games, the game's creator, needed a way to recoup their costs and make it a truly profitable game. Enter the idea of skins. Just like many other Free to Play games, players can purchase new champion outfits (also known as skins) to customize their champion in a new way. As over 90% of League of Legends players are male, it may come as no surprise that many of the female champion skins are pretty easy on the eyes. Short skirts, bare stomachs, and long legs are the par for many of the available female champion skins. Not all sexy skins are created equal, though. Here at some of the 10 Top Sexiest League of Legends skins. Some are still available for purchase while others will just have to be something you lust over. Click Here to Continue
