Dota 2 Secret Shop arrives for The International 2017


The annual Dota 2 Secret Shop has been announced by Valve today, allowing players to snap any merchandise they desire ahead of The International finals.

 “Featuring a host of both original and community-created designs, the Valve Store powered by WeLoveFine is now taking orders to ship this year's products almost anywhere in the world,” a message from Valve explains.

 “Plus, to help expand the reach of the shop's offerings, our partners at Perfect World will be accepting orders next week at ChinaJoy and the Perfect World Secret Shop.

 “For fans making the journey to Seattle next month, the on-site Secret Shop will offer a select range of items for attendees at KeyArena, including several gifts with purchase exclusive to fans at the event. 

 “More information for on-site purchasing will be available to ticket holders soon, so keep an eye on the inbox associated with your ticket purchase.”

 As mentioned above, those attending the event in Seattle will have access to the best stuff to buy, with the on-site Secret Shop details coming soon.


It follows news that The International prize pool has now grown to epic porportions.

 25% of all Battle Pass sales go directly to The International 2017, with Valve adding in around $1.6 million.

 But the biggest chunks comes from fans, with the 2017 prize pool now past the 20m mark, as well as last year’s number.

 2016 saw $20,770,460 up for grabs, 2017 is now past that and still has a number of weeks to run before the tournament kicks off.

 The Dota 2 Battle Pass 2017 differs a little from earlier versions. The usual goodies will be available to fans who buy in, however, Valve have also added the Siltbreaker multiplayer campaign.

 All Battle Pass owners can join in on the “cooperative adventure,” requiring players to party up with three friends or queue-met allies to battle through a landscape of loathsome monsters, cunning traps, and other lethal terrors.

 The new multiplayer campaign comes in two parts, with Act 2 A Vault in the Deep, set to be released by Valve this summer.

 Other things in the Dota 2 Battle Pass 2017 includes new team quest, in which players will have to complete team-objective missions, as well as single- and multi-game goals.

 These special assignments will net players extra Battle Points, as well as a Completion Reward unique to that Path. 

 Normal defensive pillars are also being replaced with Prestige Towers that combine Battle Level totals of teams. The type of towers you're able to construct will depend on your team's combined level of prestige.

 A new Trivia mini-game is also set to be accessible while sitting in queues, players can work alone or match wits with others to choose the right answers and best the global competition.

‘League of Legends’ creator sues ‘Mobile Legends’ developer for copyright infringement

Shanghai Moonton Technology’s “Mobile Legends” has certainly been quite a hit for Pinoy mobile gamers. But for PC gamers familiar with the massive multiplayer title “League of Legends” (LoL), both games look eerily and disturbingly similar. According to a lawsuit recently filed in the Central District Court of California, Riot Games is suing the mobile game developer for allegedly copying the interface and overall game play of LoL. The game titles in question are Moonton’s “Mobile Legends: 5V5 MOBA”, “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” and “Magic Rush: Heroes”, Dotaesports.com reported.
