Smith denies tweeting ‘Cavs in 7,’ says he’s ‘smarter than that’

Shortly after the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 118-113 Game 3 loss to the Golden State Warriors of the 2017 NBA Finals, JR Smith was found to have tweeted “Cavs in 7,” and Twitter was quick to react.

Smith denies that he tweeted the message, saying in an interview with ESPN that he was “smarter than that.”

The Cavaliers are a loss away from losing the title with the Warriors leading, 3-0. No NBA team has forfeited such a lead.

In last year’s playoffs, the Cavaliers became the first team to overcome a 3-1 deficit, beating the Warriors to win their first NBA Championship.

Though he believes what the message presents, Smith negates ever sending the tweet claiming he was in the shower after the game.

Smith has already deleted the tweet on his account, claiming he was hacked, but Twitters users were quick to take a screenshot of the alleged tweet.

Game 4 is on Saturday (PH time) again at the Quicken Loans Arena, where the Warriors look to complete a historic 16-0 sweep and win their second title in three years.

BOUNTY Agro Ventures Inc. is going all out in its support to Gilas Pilipinas that the parent company of the national team’s major sponsor, Chooks to Go, is willing to bankroll a national side if and when it will feature full-time national players.
