Mars Dota 2 League 2017: a look at each team’s current form, part 1

There isn’t much information available regarding the Mars Dota 2 League 2017. The eight teams have been revealed, so this article will take two teams and explain their playing form heading in. Things that we do know about the Mars Dota 2 League: it’s organized by Mars Media; all matches will be played offline at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center in China; the tournament lasts five days (July 5-9th, 2017).

When considering each team’s playing form, I’m only looking at the last four weeks of professional play.

Mars Dota 2 League – 4 invitees, 3 qualified teams, 1 replacement
Newbee: in form

Newbee has steadily improved after their dead last finish that the Kiev Major. They look like a different squad from the one we watched get reverse-swept by Team Liquid. Though Newbee missed EPICENTER and the Dota Summit 7 with 5-6th Place finishes in those qualifiers, something has changed. They’re gelling better and the consistency is up. Newbee‘s last three events have led to finals appearances.

OG: out of form

Everyone talks OG up (normally for good reason); however, I’d be lying if I told you I’m confident in them these days. Unlike Newbee, OG has been on a down trend since the Kiev Major. Given, they placed first. It’s tough to bring that level of consistent play to the table every tournament. OG won two $1,000,000 tournaments in a span of four months. The Kiev Major champions missed the Top 4 of their last two events. To make matters worse, they missed the EPICENTER playoffs altogether. Winning three games and losing six doesn’t get the job done. Highlights are below.

Thanks a lot for reading, make sure you check out part 2 for Evil Geniuses and Invictus Gaming. Reach out on Twitter and share any thoughts you have. I reply to all tweets sent my way.

10 Top Sexiest League of Legends Skins

One of the largest games in the world, League of Legends is no stranger to well-done character creation and character appearance. As a Free To Play game, though, Riot Games, the game's creator, needed a way to recoup their costs and make it a truly profitable game. Enter the idea of skins. Just like many other Free to Play games, players can purchase new champion outfits (also known as skins) to customize their champion in a new way. As over 90% of League of Legends players are male, it may come as no surprise that many of the female champion skins are pretty easy on the eyes. Short skirts, bare stomachs, and long legs are the par for many of the available female champion skins. Not all sexy skins are created equal, though. Here at some of the 10 Top Sexiest League of Legends skins. Some are still available for purchase while others will just have to be something you lust over. Click Here to Continue

BOUNTY Agro Ventures Inc. is going all out in its support to Gilas Pilipinas that the parent company of the national team’s major sponsor, Chooks to Go, is willing to bankroll a national side if and when it will feature full-time national players. Chooks to Go boss Ronald Mascariñas bared the plan on Wednesday during the sendoff for the national team bound for Chinese Taipei for the Jones Cup, saying he plans to offer national standouts salaries equivalent to the maximum in the PBA just to go full-time with Gilas. “The main objective really is for the country to play in the Olympics so ang Pilipinas, just like all other countries, challenge dun sa schedule ng mga professional ballclub,” Mascariñas said. “We’re offering, making this offer, if we can work out with the SBP and the PBA, we’re willing to finance – full time national team players.
